Egerton Football Club

(Arthur Parsons 17/12/2013)
Formation

Egerton Football Club was formed in 2002 to promote and co-ordinate all football-related activities at the Youth Club, each and every team even played in different coloured kits!
The last few years have seen a lot of changes.

Egerton Football Club was founded to provide a fun, friendly and safe environment in which boys and girls within the local community are able to develop their talents by practising and playing football. In addition, the Club set itself the goal to be recognised as a high quality, multi-team set up with excellent training, playing and social opportunities for all boys and girls with the area.

Vision

Egerton Football Clubs aim is to:

* Provide a correct club structure
* Provide appropriate facilities
* Promote the game of Association Football
* To arrange matches and social activities for its members and players and to encourage community participation in the same.

Egerton strives to mentor its members, volunteers, players and managers and provide them with development opportunities both within the game and in the community.

FA Community Charter Standard

The club achieved Charter standard in 2007 which means that the club has met the FA requirements for best practice in training and development along with child welfare and community involvement.

Being a Community Charter Standard Club requires us to put in place a development plan that covers the following key areas:

Club Vision
Growth & Retention - Exit Routes
Raising Standards - Supporting other clubs to achieve CSC
Better Players - Links to skill centres/academies/centre of excellences for both male and female players
Running the Game - marketing and communication
Volunteer Development - Step into Sport/Referee Development/Mentoring/Succession Plan

Facility Development

The club in conjunction with Egerton Youth Club received funding in 2009 to develop our facilities at Mereheath Lane and build a full size 3G pitch along with additional changing rooms, cafe and club bar.

Football League Pyramid

In 2012, we created our first team ground to meet the requirements of the Cheshire League to enable the club to continue its journey to be part of the football league pyramid.
