MCYFL LEAGUE UPDATE
(Marie Heath 12/04/2020)
Following a meeting held by the League Management committee it was unanimously agreed that for season 2019-20 the league competition is now brought to an immediate end. Therefore all results will be expunged from all of the competitions.
It was not a decision taken lightly, but given the current unprecedented circumstances we face it was felt that this was the most suitable option available and served the best interests of all involved - the clubs/teams, the league, participants and volunteers.
We appreciate this may be disappointing to some but under the circumstances we hope you will you are able to accept this as the best way forward. We need to remember that this is part of a national strategy from the FA, instructing us to cease all grassroots football and currently we have no idea when grassroots football will be able to continue. May I take this opportunity to also advise yourselves that we will be postponing the AGM scheduled for June, and will be assessing all divisions to present at either an SGM or AGM in the future. This will possibly need to be done electronically depending on the situation we find ourselves in nearer to the time.
We are still preparing for next season so please can you keep your eye on the timeline and emails. Please take car of yourselves and stay safe. Jo Eastwood - League Secretary.
