Welcome To Kinver Colts FC

About Us

Kinver Colts was formed over 40 years ago as Edgecliff Eagles. It changed its name about twenty five years ago to reflect the developing community links. The Club has 9 teams (including 3 girls' teams) playing in the Stourport & District Youth League, the Stourbridge & District Youth and Girls Leagues and the Mercian League. We also have training groups for Under 6s and Under 5s. We achieved FA Charter Standard Status in 2006.

Safeguarding Children Statement

“Every child or young person who plays or participates in football should be able to take part in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse. This is the responsibility of every adult involved in football.” – FA Policy Statement.
Kinver Colts FC is proud to be an FA Charter Standard Club. This accolade demonstrates that the Club organisation follows FA policy and guidelines, but also brings with it a responsibility for best practice and improving standards. Most important is the responsibility for the safety and protection of children and young people in football.
Kinver Colts FC is run entirely by volunteers. Many people will only be aware of the manager and coaches of their son or daughter’s team, but the club committee behind the scenes also includes the Chair, Secretary, Treasurer – to name just a few. Also appointed to the committee is a Club Welfare Officer (CWO), currently Margaret Kodz. The CWO’s role, in accordance with FA guidelines, is to promote awareness and best practice throughout the club so that safeguarding becomes imbedded in football.
The CWO meets with all new Club volunteers to discuss the ethos of the Club, the FA’s Respect and Safeguarding policies and to ask regular volunteers to undergo a CRB check. All managers and coaches are required to have a CRB check as best practice to protect children and young people whilst involved in Club activities.
The CWO’s role also includes dealing with any poor practice concerns. Matters of a more worrying nature may be referred to the Birmingham FA’s Welfare Officer. All parents and carers should therefore be aware of the CWO’s contact details as well as those of the manager of their child’s team:
