Cold Weather & Match Wear.
(Andy Thomas 29/12/2018)
As winter has arrived the league would like to remind all Clubs that the following are permitted to help protect players from cold weather:
.Plain beanie hats may be worn (no badges, dangling material , metal etc.)
.Gloves - plain, no buckles etc.
.Leggings (ideally would match the colour of the shorts and be consistent for the team)
.Extra under layers as required.
All players must have as a top layer the match shirt with
the players number on the back.
Goalkeepers can wear GK trousers or track suit bottoms, hoodies can be worn but they must have the hood tucked in - well out of the way.
Goalkeepers must always be distinguished from the other outfield players and so easily identified by the referee.
The league operates rolling subs at all age groups which should help keep everyone involved and active.
Parents/Spectators are expected to bring extra layers/coats etc as the conditions dictate for both themselves and their children.
The league will call off matches when travel conditions and/or on-field conditions are extreme. But we also have to balance this against getting games played and our sometimes unpredictable weather.
