CHESHIRE FA CHARTER STANDARD LEAGUE AWARD WINNERS 2015.
Welcome to Cheshire Girls Football League.
It all started in the mid-90s when the managers of half a dozen newly formed girls' football teams got together with the support of Cheshire FA and created a competitive 11-aside league for 12-15 year old girls. Its first League Champions were Weaverham Girls FC. After a couple of seasons, it was realized that if the League was to survive, it had to go to 2-year age bandings and introduce small sided soccer for the younger age groups. At the same time the League was very fortunate to be able to secure a central venue for all matches which is Moss Farm Recreation Centre in Hartford near Northwich. From the late 90s the League has gone from strength to strength. Member Clubs come from as far as Warrington in the north and Crewe in the south. We now have over 1200 girls registered to play this season 2017-18!! Matches are played Saturday mornings from September to April with occasional night matches.

Why not come along one Saturday and watch some very talented girls play football. You may even want to join one of the clubs and play yourself or you may have a daughter who is interested. What better way to see what it is all about? Small-sided matches start at 9.30am and 11-aside start at 10.00am and 11.45am.

We also organise U7's coaching for any girl who wants to develop some footballing skills in a fun and age appropriate way. This is a one hour session and is free. For those who then want to start playing in a more formal way, we will direct them to our member clubs. So mums and dads bring your daughter along and let her experience girls football in the Cheshire Girls League. She will be made very welcome.
